I continued working with the Set-Top Box division of Trident Microsystems India Private limited as Staff Engineer, Software Development and was reporting to my manager, Vladimir Mesarovic, who was working from Trident Microsystems Inc, Austin, Texas.During this time as Staff Engineer, I worked on the following tasks • HDMI PASS-THROUGH FEATURE OF COMCAST XFINITY HD VIDEO CALLING USING SKYPE • IMPLEMENTATION OF VIDEO BASE BAND INPUT (ITU-R BT.656/BT.1120) FEATURE IN STB PLATFORM SOFTWARE STACK AND ENABLING THE FRONT END BASE BAND FEEDS THRU HDMI RECEIVER.After Trident Microsystems, Inc filed for Bankruptcy in 4th of January 2012, the Set-Top box business unit was purchased by Entropic Communications Inc, San Diego, CA and the acquisition was completed by April 2012.However, Entropic Communications India Private Limited, Hyderabad got established from 1st October 2012. I joined Broadcom India Technologies India Private Limited thru the acquisition of AMD Digital Television (Xilleon Division) business, announced on 25th of August 2008, valued at 192.8 million US dollars. I was part of the software development team of DTV business unit of Broadband Communication Group, Broadcom, Hyderabad, since October 2008. My designation got changed from Senior ASIC design Engineer to Staff Engineer, Software Development.As part of the Broadcom acquisition agreement, my service date includes my years of service with AMD and hence my original hire date will be the date I joined AMD, which is from May 2006. After moving into Broadcom, I was owning the video driver development based on Linux for all analog front end video decoders, video capture, display and TCON IP blocks of the DTV SoC device and also contributed significantly for the video post processing optimization and tuning of the drivers for better picture quality. During this time, I have gained a very solid work experience in developing drivers, firmware and application for Linux based DTV SoC devices.I began my career at Broadcom by joining the Digital Television (DTV) Business division of ATI Technologies, Hyderabad. As part of the diagnostics team, I was mainly responsible for the pre silicon functional verification of the analog front end video decoders, video capture, Display & HDMI hardware IP modules integrated to the Xilleon DTV SoC 24x device using the Cadence Palladium multi user accelerators/emulators that enables hardware/software co-verification and software system level verification. On July 24, 2006, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) acquired ATI in a deal valued at $5.6 billion. After AMD acquired ATI Technologies, it was functioning as a division of AMD until September 2007. After that it got re-registered as AMD Research & Development Center, Hyderabad, India. I continued working with the diagnostics team on new hardware IP modules including Display, DVI and HDMI.

I was part of the Intel communication group (ICG) and worked under various divisions of it, primarily in the development of software and firmware for there proprietary Networking and Communication Semiconductors. Following are my Job Duties that I performed while I was working with Intel, Bangalore. o I was given the prime responsibility of working on an end-to-end DSP firmware development of Speech Codecs, which includes the ITU-T specified G.729A/B/E/G, and GSM-EFR for the proprietary Intel IXS1000 Media Signal processor. This includes the implementation of cycle accurate DSP firmware modules for both encoding and decoding functionalities of G.729A/B/E/G and GSM_EFR speech codecs using our complex DSP SIMD and RISC assembly instruction sets of Intel IXS1000 Media Signal processor and integration of the partitioned DSP firmware code to the media gateway software stack.o Then I worked on the design validation (Post-Silicon) of Packet over SONET (PoS) Mapper/Demapper HW IP block of Intel IXF19300, a highly integrated, multi-rate, multi service optical transport silicon device, for which I had to understand the various data communication and networking standards which includes the HDLC framing formats like the LAPS (X.85, X.86, RFC2615 and RFC1662) and SONET/SDH. o I was given the responsibility to bench mark one of Intel’s upcoming IA-32 Microprocessor platforms that uses low power multi core x86 CPU based on the Intel Pentium Architecture. o SOHO Router implementation on IXP2351 Network Processor – Implemented the design changes of IPV4 and IPV6 micro blocks and integrated the micro blocks into the functional pipeline.I joined Intel, India, thru the acquisition of VxTel, Inc. VxTel Inc, was acquired by Intel for 550 million dollars of cash in February of 2001. Since then, I was working with Intel, India, with my service dating back from 1st of July 2000.
