Built the decision tree for selecting vendor. Coordinated analyses of R99 QoS parameters in HLR and its sensitivity to UE, SGSN, and RNC feature support. Developed a whitepaper for augmenting 3GPP Iu interface to incorporate ANSI protocol for broadband SS7. Technical Leader for the Distributed MSC, Core VoIP & Cell Site Access Gateway designs.

Provided and evaluated design inputs for the next network switch of AT&T and AWS. Led in the development for the RFP for wireless LNP on behalf of CTIA; Designed AWS LNP architecture with a MIN/MDN separation strategy which was accepted by CTIA as the solution for wireless industry in 1997.

 Strategic planning, architecture development, analysis and cost-effective deployment and engineering of networks and technologies including Cellular/PCS, Long Distance network and operations, AT&T SS7 network and operations evolution, AT&T Segmentation Directory, AT&T Next Generation Switch, ISDN remote testing network architecture. Designed the AT&T Virtual Signaling Network for carriers for SS7 message transport. Designed remote testing and monitoring architecture for SS7 using ISDN. Managed projects for vendors, such as Tekelec, Inet, and HP, to develop SS7 monitoring tools for AT&T. This was used in the first Network interconnect testing between AT&T and Bell South. Designed the network and operations architecture for consumer features such as “follow-me-roaming”, transmitted noise reduction in international calls to Mexico, etc.

 Technical Project Manager for the development of improved simulation programs (using Finite Element Method) for vehicle crash scenarios used by the Federal Highway Administration. Designed the Crash Test database for Federal Highway Administration. The project provided a realistic method for evaluating highway safety barriers, and vehicle safety. Project manager for the development of integrated database programs and GUI interface for the Washington DC Department of Public Works’ Road accident database.
