• Designed and developed a Network Planning Tool for mitigating impact of spatially correlated faults on networks. Invented and implemented novel algorithms for data routing, backup path computation and distributed file storage in the presence of spatially correlated faults. Built tool visualizations using Google Maps API and OpenStreetMaps API.• Developed novel optimization algorithms for trajectory planning of mobile UAVs to navigate complex non-stationary environments. Research outcomes applied to RFID Networks, Airborne Networks and Mobile Sensor Networks. • Studied the complex interdependence between power and communication networks. Established the mathematical foundations of a novel model able to capture such complex dependencies. Invented algorithms for root cause analysis, most vulnerable node identification and progressive recovery from failure in interdependent networks.

• Developed Oracle Enterprise Manager plug-ins to monitor PeopleSoft, Hyperion and Oracle Apps customer instances hosted in Oracle’s Cloud Services datacenter. Significantly reduced customer Technical Assistance Requests (TARs) and customer reported outages.• Developed a web-application to allow Oracle Operations’ team to remotely startup, shutdown and refresh hosted Oracle Apps and PeopleSoft customer instances. Resulted in savings of upto 40% man hours for doing these tasks.• Worked on an “Outage and Performance Prediction System” for the Oracle Database that predicted DB slowness and outages using machine learning on collected host level data. Average accuracy of prediction was 79%.
