Designed and implemented an audio stack to “wake-up” an Android phone by detecting a pre-defined near-ultrasound audio signals as a trigger (often run on a DSP).Designed and implemented the SoundTrigger API in Android to support multiple hotword and non-hotword sound models on the DSP (on an Android phone). API was launched with Android 8.0.Designed and implemented an Audio Nearby API to transmit and receive 1-2 bytes of information over “near-ultrasound” using existing mic and speakers on an Android phone. Also worked on a prototype to compute physical distance between two Android phones to under 1 cm accuracy. The API was launched with Google Play Services and was featured on WIRED recently.Designed and implemented a native (C++) peer-peer network stack for gaming on Android/IOS. This was launched as a part of the Google Play Games API for p2p gaming. API includes support for low latency (with possible loss) or high resilience network connections. -
