Founded a multi-million dollar program to commercialize hardware solutions that dramatically improve cell phone reception. The program leveraged TI's huge investment in Digital Light Projection (DLP) technology in a new market, radio-frequency front ends, and was considered one of the most innovative programs being pursued by TI at the time.Identified market opportunity and began preliminary technology development in spare time. Won funding from TI corporate once major cell phone manufacturers began showing interest. Wore many hats: Managed the program at its onset. Drove much of the original business development, visiting some of the largest cell phone manufactuerers in the world, selling them on the benefits of the product, and listening to their feedback. Designed the early versions of the product, including mechanical, electrical, and package design, as well as engineering simulation. Took responsibility for coordination and management of suppliers, contract manufacturing, and in-house manufacturing to build prototypes. Developed laboratory tests for performance and reliability.

Designed and verified various digital and analog circuits to control the movement of the arrays of microscopic mirrors in TI's Digital Light Projection (DLP®) chip. This includes interface circuitry, control circuitry, and driver circuitry to maintain precise timing and precise movement of all mirrors in the array. Products have been released commercially and can be found in digital cinema projectors, conference room projectors, and pico projectors today.

Mentored students and lectured in courses on micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), digital logic design, and C++. Modeled the electromagnetic behavior of a wireless blood flow sensor in an artery stent. Researched implantable glucose sensors for diabetic patient monitoring.

Designed control logic for implantable sensors and cardiac defibrillators. Performed laboratory characterization, identified failure modes, and proposed solutions. Patented a MEMS-based reference electrode in collaboration with a cross-functional team.

Developed a machine vision algorithm that utilizes an ultrasonic sonar sensor to count passengers in mass transportation vehicles. Communicated entirely in Spanish.

Established a wood pricing schedule that saved the company $3 million annually. Created a database driven application to automate data analysis, allowing instant access to critical information
