As Senior Art Director at FCB every day was different, this is what I enjoyed most about the position. Some days were spent conducting brainstorming sessions with other team members, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives, while others were spent creating a brand’s identity or layouts for POS and print ads or writing TV commercial scripts. And then there were the days spent at photoshoots overseeing its production, ensuring the concept is realized.Beiersdorf was my primary account at FCB where I led creative for NIVEA covering the Central, East and West African markets. I was also Lead Creative for MoneyGram, Royal Air Maroc, Tell-Em PR, Honda, VISA and Bio Oil among others.

Growing Kenya’s reading culture is Storymoja’s mission as it feeds our business as a publishing house, our call as writers, and our patriotic duty.I joined Storymoja Africa as a children’s book illustrator. This involved sketching rough ideas of what the characters in the books would look like, depicting the characters in the book's different scenes, finalizing sketches, inking and colouring. I illustrated over 20 books and authored 4 books for children all of which were approved for Kenyan schools by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).As Head of Design, I was tasked with conceptualizing and providing thoughtful creative solutions, producing attractive and effective book designs, illustrations and layouts, collaborating with senior team members to receive feedback, communicating production needs effectively with printers and other vendors as required and liaising with other team members with a willingness to jump in at any stage of the creative process.I also took on the exciting role of digitising physical books to EPUBS to increase accessibility to pupils in all parts of the country.I was part of the core organizing team for the Storymoja Festival by heading the branding and design of the festival which is one of the biggest literature festivals in Africa. It was during this time that I got to work as a Design Assistant at Hay Festival UK. The Hay Festival is one of the world's top literary festivals, staged in the small town called Hay-On-Wye on the Wales-England border.

At ILO Somalia, I was tasked with the conceptualization and creation of all the collateral material for ILO's Decent Work Programme (Southern Somalia and Puntland 2012-2015)

Worked as a skills trainer and facilitator on the East African Breweries Limited’s (EABL) Senator Keg ‘Senator Base Poa’ project, an extensive training program for Marginal/Traditional beer-drinking hubs all over Kenya. Throughout the project, I interacted with workers from over 1000 outlets countrywide and well over 4000 Keg bar participants and bar owners.The ‘Senator Base Poa’ project was aimed at inculcating hygiene standards, keg pouring steps, creating visibility standards, grooming and etiquette to the participants.
