• Product design and assembly verification using AUTOCAD / CREO/PRO-E Wildfire.• Generate design concepts and produce conforming designs, parameters and worst case calculations.• Develop feasible designs, considering available manufacturing processes. Perform engineering calculations for mass, strength and mechanical performance.• Assigned with the responsibilities of creating the Dimensional Drawings, Main Assembly Drawing, Part Drawings and the complete Bill of Materials.• Responsible for analyzing the incoming enquires from business development department, and preparing accurate General Arrangement and Layout Drawings. • Identify and implement the new idea for cost reduction to achieve the Customer’s target price.• Provide alternative design solutions accompanied by analysis, supporting information and recommendations for existing/regular projects.• Ensure that designs comply with customer specifications and regulations.• Understanding of design guidelines for reliability testing & certification compliance.• Troubleshooting in case of malfunctions/failure analysis.• Liaise with industrial engineer so that product and process characteristics are under control when production is launched.• Knowledge about International Standards, Quality Processes: TS, and ISO 9001:2008.• Experience in the Project Management process, Program standards, tools, and methods• Manage a team of functional-product/process/tool engineers.• Lead all design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) studies.• Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documents.• Well versed with the Validation testing of products (Vibration Test, Shock Test, Leakage Test, Airgap Test etc.).• Visit to Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Pune & RBEI- Coimbatore for mechanical testing of products.• Appropriate training in program specific CAD software for junior team members.
