• Transformed the Specialty division’s portfolio dashboards in Power BI by manipulating and combining data from multiple source systems used internally. The new model was 10x faster and uplifted usage three times, and enabled senior stakeholders to review a multi-billion dollar book, key metrics and KPI’s and plan strategically.• Forged close relationships with various internal units, acting as business partner for their analytical requirements around the insurance portfolio, client and product benchmarking or any other adhoc requirements.• Devised a project to look at claims data over the entire book by analysing claims movements across a fifteen year period, triangulating and projecting it to ultimate. • Led the development of a statistical pricing model with Python and integrated this for production with the Azure cloud platform. This replaced the existing excel based model and ran 100x faster and also provided web based model accessibility for the actuarial team• Designed a prototype for the company's GIS data, mapping and exposure analytics platform using open source data and technology. This specialised solution helps understand exposures and provides real time tracking for windstorm, wildfire and earthquakes on the insured portfolio• Managed data service offerings for partner insurers participating in the Energy and Marine portfolio's, providing real time insights, actuarial triangles and portfolio performance through Power BI App's and dashboards• Designed and developed real time business dashboards for internal divisions, enabling them to answer simple business questions such as how is the division performing to budget? who are the top 10 markets that we place business with? is our business profitable to insurers? what is our renewal pipeline for the next 3 months?

• Executed underwriting of large commercial property, energy and power accounts by consulting internal guidelines, using market knowledge or referring to reinsurers, delivered 15% YOY growth in premium for 3 years.• Generated 40 large construction insurance accounts in 3 years by negotiating and developing terms and conditions with corporate clients and insurance brokers. • Evaluated extensions to amend standard policy wordings or endorsements, ensuring they satisfied requirements of contract certainty and did not conflict with company risk appetite.• Collaborated with company leaders to develop and support insurance requirements for a £7.5 billion capital expansion project, adding 40% revenue to yearly construction business.• Assessed, reviewed and completed reinsurance requirements for Standalone terrorism insurance looking at company retention and risk appetite, increased income by 10% on yearly basis.• Analysed, evaluated and created reports for management to utilize while reviewing annual reinsurance program, resulted in reduction of reinsurance premium outgo by 15%.
