As the office is quite small I was able to work around the office helping whoever needed it and learned valuable lessons from people with a plethora of backgrounds and often deep experiences in their fields. While interning at HV International I got the opportunity to put into practice a lot of my academic knowledge while still being under the guidance of my peers, this gave me a taste of a wide range of business activities from fabrication to merchandising to big retailers in Mauritius and abroad. Part of my internship involved learning the process of importing and exporting both first hand on the docks and airports as well as the administration in the office.

As I went to High School in the southern hemisphere and wished to study in England I had to wait for the next intake. In order to make the most of this time I Interned at the families practice. During this time I developed my skills by learning new software such as Autocad and Google Sketchup. While I did learn Autocad to an intermediate level my favourite experience was learning how to use various plugins to create 3d models. Together with the Teelock Associates team we delivered a competitive high class service to our clients and customers in the construction industry.During this time I was involved with various site meetings and witnessed first hand the problems and issues that a local architect is responsible for during construction. The most challenging project was a beach front complex which was designed by a different architect. After the project reached a stand still due to poor resource management and lack of experience the banks assumed control of the developers assets and employed Teelock Associates as the local architect to protect their investment.
