As the General Manager of the Server & Tools Division of Microsoft in Asia, Arun was responsible for growing revenue and market share for Microsoft's portfolio of market leading server products including Windows Server, SQL Server, and Windows Azure in the Asia Pacific region.

* Owned SQL Server worldwide revenue for Enterprise customers, including target setting, sales readiness, sales campaigns, roles/compensation plans, and coaching of our worldwide sales and marketing team. * Piloted, launched & scaled program to drive standardization of SQL Server within enterprise customers. Grew from inception to the largest and fastest growing growing segment of SQL Server revenue.* Piloted and launched initiative to drive migrations from Oracle and Sybase. Drove over $150M in revenue over 2 years* Best in class sales and marketing execution: Simplified marketing/sales campaigns, built a business intelligence portal to track key leading indicators, and established a consistent rhythm to land sales and marketing plans.

* Owned worldwide product management, marketing and business strategy for ~$150M network security & access business. * Led acquisition and integration of Whale Communications, a leading remote access appliance vendor from concept through integration and launched product through Microsoft channels. * Revamped the product strategy – realigned existing ISA Server 2006 product and added two new products targeting high growth segments in remote access and the branch office.* Drove the creation of the channel strategy to grow sales of OEM appliances built on MS software. Resolved structural channel conflict between OEM and direct channels & created a new partner engagement and compensation model to drive growth.

Bootstrapped, built and managed a 60 employee organization in US and India. Provided provisioning software to large telcos (e.g. British Telecom, Telecom Australia), software vendors (e.g. Ceon Corp.) and switch vendors (e.g. Nortel, Nuera Communications).* Founded the company, assembled founding team and obtained first customer. Invented design to simplify extension & maintenance of test automation software by splitting UI & business logic, and encoding in XML scripts.* Created a collaborative culture resulting in high employee satisfaction and employee attrition rates at less than 5% annually.
