Responsible for all R&D activities, Quality control department, Technical Service, Co-ordination with all government department including DSIR & Pollution control board; MIS preparation, etc.

The then Scientist-G post was a senior position and only one of its kind (2nd from the top) in J.K.Tyre, R&D-Centre. Responsible for maintaining the overall activities of R&D-Centre consisting of approximately 26nos of highly qualified Scientists and Engineers in absence of Director (Research).In addition to this looking after the evaluation of raw materials, development of new Compound, Racing & Rally tyres, Truck & Bus Radial Tyres and chronic process problem on the shop floor. Main activities may be summarized as:• Development of new source for raw materials and their evaluation in rubber compounds.• Substitution of imported raw materials by indigenous one.• Responsible for development and evaluation work related to fabric.• Development of different rubber compounds and modification of the existing compounds to meet the required performance of tyre during service.• COST REDUCTION PROJECTS • Handling chronic process problem / product defects jointly with technical and production departments. • Manufacturing of the ‘Test tyres’ starting from compounding, building, curing and sending those tyres for desired field test.• Evaluation of test tyres based on Indoor and Outdoor test results.• Analysis of service failed tyres and tubes.• Responsible for Development of Racing & Rally Tyres.• Development of Truck & Bus Radial Tyre for Indian Road Condition• Development of testing techniques, design and fabrication of new rubber testing equipment.• Conducting classes on Rubber technology for IRI-Rajasthan Branch and Polymer Science and Technology course at M.L.S.University, Udaipur.• Conducting joint project work with the different Institutions for the basic research on Rubber Science and Technology. Guided more than 15 Nos. of B. Tech / M.Tech. students from different Institutions for their final year project.

 Received extensive training at General Tire, USA on Tire Technology and R&D activities at General Tire, Tire Technology Group, Akron. Trained on Manufacturing Technology in the most advanced tyre manufacturing facility at Mt.Vernon – A joint venture plant of General – Continental – Toyo – Yokohama Tire Co. Trained on Radial Tyre Design, Mould Design, Tyre Testing and its evaluation, causes and remedy of service failure of Radial Tyres. Acquainted with the recent development on Rubber Compounding / Processing / Testing Techniques along with Design & Development of tyres as per Indian Road Conditions. Training on Retreading of Radial Tyres at Bandag, USA

I did my final year M.Tech. project at R&D of Dunlop (India) Limited on “Development of Heat Resistant Conveyor Belt Essential for Steel and other Important Industries” and completed my vocational training (during M. Tech.) .
