I am very passionate about teaching and interacting with young people. This love for academics and human resource development pulled me out of the hydrocarbon sector jobs that I was offered after graduation to teaching in Assam Engineering College. I love my AEC and have done my best to project it as the pioneer of technical education in North East India. My most cherished years in AEC had been the 10 years of Heading the Training & Placement scenario of the college during 2002-2012, when close to 100% students got jobs from the campus itself.I love professionalism, hard work and honesty in all our actions. I shaped the Assam State Centre of the Institution of Engineers (India) to one of the best in the country. For the first time our Centre got 2nd Best Centre Award in India in 2010, when I was the Honorary Secretary of the Centre.I am the founder Secretary of North East Technical Education Society (NETES), which does many professional activities; but its flagship project is "NITS MIRZA" ...an engineering college at Mirza with 240 seats established in 2009.Many more things are there. I do science communication; I teach in many institutions; I work very diligently for upholding science & technology in the print and electronic media; I offer absolutely free counselling to needy students on career and placements.I love reading; travelling; making new friends and good things in life.
