Growing up, I have always been interested in business. Whether it be starting my own lemonade stand, or taking up a local internship, business was subconsciously always around me. After my experience of being a sales and business development intern at Ziplyne, I’ve come to appreciate the critical thinking and problem solving ability needed to drive startups. Through my experiences and passion, I am confident that consulting is the area of business I am best suited for. Through my college experience at Kelley, I hope to utilize my affinity for problem solving and my creative thinking ability for a career as a consultant. I’ve always approached problems from a subjective point of view. Working in teams through internships has allowed me to consider multiple perspectives before finalizing decisions. This has allowed me to produce higher quality results while working in a team environment. During my internship, I was expected to turn over accurate and reliable data that was crucial to the growth of the company. I was also able to expand this skill by being a mentor at AtoZ Mentoring which is an organization that provides free/no-cost tutoring to elementary school students in New Jersey. These experiences have taught me the importance of producing work with integrity and quality. In the future, I see myself in a non-corporate work environment pursuing an entrepreneurial project. Through my later college years and future work experience I look to grow both professionally and mentally as self improvement is a quality I highly value.
