Professor (Dr.) Arvind Kumar Bhatt has more than thirty three (33) years of experience as a teacher, scientist and administrator while working in University, Govt. as well as in Industry. He has extensively worked in the area of Industrial Microbiology, Enzyme Technology, bio-fuel, waste management, herbal-healthcare and the findings are also being utilized at Industrial scale. He has worked with CSIR-GoI, State Govt., HIMCOSTE, ICIMOD-Nepal, CIP-South Asia, Dr. YS Parmar University (UHF), Solan and Beck & Co., Bremen-Germany at HNBL. Dr. Bhatt has also obtained advanced professional trainings at GBF-Germany, DBT-GoI, ICAR, BITS-Pilani, Ranbaxy and CFTRI besides others. Dr. Bhatt has successfully served HP University in various Administrative capacities as Dean, Director, Coordinator, Head of the teaching Departments and was instrumental in planning various developmental activities through various grants from State, Govt. of India of India (Plan, RUSA, PM-USHA, Spl. Grants and others). He has successfully guided 3 Post Docs., 20 PhD students besides several Masters, MPhil, was successful in getting grant from Govt. of India for continuation of Masters Program in Biotechnology in 2nd phase in 2020, generated > Rs. 15 Crores for the department of Biotechnology, Biotech Incubation Centre and Seed Fund Scheme from Govt. of HP, Govt. of India and others. Dr. Bhatt has successfully headed the Industrial Biotechnology Division (9 yrs), was instrumental in drafting the Biotechnology Policy, action plans for promoting HR & Infrastructure in Biotechnology, Facilitating Funding for Biotechnology-based industries including Biotechnology & Nanotechnology Parks in collaboration with Govt. and corporate sector. He is also Member of several National and State Level committees related to Industrial Biotechnology, Life Member of several professional /scientific organizations, in the panel of experts and Editorial Board of Scientific Journals of repute. He is also technical advisor to several industries especially pulp and paper, textile and pharmaceuticals. Dr. Arvind Kumar Bhatt has more than 90 research papers to his credit published in Scientific Journals of repute, one book and > 100 research papers in several National/International Conferences /workshops/ seminars within India and abroad. Dr. Bhatt has always been fascinated with Nation Building efforts and has been active member of NCC, NSS, several organizations working for the cause of Nation Building since 1981 and has volunteered in several social organizations besides a regular blood donor
