In last 12 years, I extensively worked on habitat and fish biodiversity assessment from various locations of different ecosystems and discovered two new catfish species and studied population structure of prioritized fish species through molecular, biological and morphological markers along with developing breeding protocol through cryo-preservation and hatchery practices.My research interest includes fish diversity and ecological assessment, resolving taxonomic uncertainty, stock identification (based on traditional morphometry, truss morphometry, geometric morphometrics and molecular tools), fish biology (age and growth and reproductive biology), population dynamics, impact of climate change on fishes and conservation of fisheries resources. I am well equipped with software like R, SPSS, STATISTICA, PAST, JMP, MorphoJ, TPS series, Excel and handled various sophisticated equipments like Digital camera, underwater camera, Electro-fisher, YSI made Water quality testing kit and GPS.I am also actively involved in educating Bachelors and Masters Degree students through lectures and field survey and conducting awareness program for citizen towards fish diversity monitoring and conservation of fisheries resources.
