I’m currently working as a Backup Consultant. Being part of a Global team I'm responsible for driving projects and initiatives for the backup engineers to deliver against and provide support, analysis of complex problems if any. My role also includes identifying opportunities for infrastructure and process improvements. I've experience in creating processes, procedural documentation and I'm also involved in providing in-depth investigations and root cause analysis of incidents and outages.

I worked as a Senior Infrastructure engineer in Backup domain. Few challenges I work on a day to day basis• Define and deliver on capacity planning analysis and monthly reporting.• High Availability failovers and Disaster Recovery events. • Responsible for implementation and up gradation of backups/Storage devices like EMC Avamar, Data Domain, PPDM on AWS cloud, and other backup solutions like EMC IDPA with the help of the Vendor in an on-prem environment.• Responsible for configuration of backup devices from the scratch. Creation of Groups/policies/ Datasets/retentions/Configuration of Alerts/Integration with Service now for incident creation. • Report unsafe situations and recommend requisite improvements while seeking advice from Senior Management as per the criticality of the situation.

EMC Avamar and Networker Administrator• In HCL, working as a Technical Specialist involves providing IT Infrastructure services to our clients. The scope of services includes managing the EMC Avamar, EMC Networker, EMC Data Domain, and taking care of its day-to-day operations along with making proper coordination with internal and external (EMC) teams and providing the client with optimal service with minimum failures and issues. Also responsible for the creation of process/Technical documents and preparing Daily, Weekend, and Monthly Reports.

As a System engineer, I was responsible for doing multiple Backup operations including monitoring, troubleshooting of different type of backups like Image, Agent based, NAS, Catalog backups. Tape management with tape related issues were also managed. I was also responsible for performing Full system restores, Lotus Notes databases and Image level recovery. Escalating issues which were out of scope for our team to next level so that appropriate action can be taken in timely manner. I also participate in Daily Service Reviews (DSR), Service Restoration Team (SRT).

Content engineering includes the categorization of the data according to taxonomy. Analysis of a large amount of data, facts, and figures. Monitoring work of resources to identify their process gaps, giving them coaching & feedback, and planning Action Plan accordingly.
