Working for the Noble Cause: ELIMINATING CORNEAL BLINDNESS FROM INDIAStarted career as Eye Bank Technician in the year 1998 at Ramayamma International Eye Bank of prestigious L.V.Prasad Eye Institute.From the year 1998 – 2011 Worked in different positions like Sr. Eye Bank Technician, Technical Supervisor, Training Coordinator, Incharge – Product Development (Preparation of Corneal Preservation Medium & Amniotic Membrane Processing) & reached to the Eye Bank Manager of the Ramayamma International Eye Bank, L.V.Prasad Eye Institute.Received Training in International Eye Banking & Eye Bank Operations at SightLife, Seattle, USA in the year 2009.Presently working as Sr. Manager at Vasan Eye Bank & Training Center from the year 2011 and taking care of Vasan Eye Bank Network operations, Training Programs, Preparation of Corneal Preservation Medium, Hospital Corneal Retrieval Programs, Research & Development projects.Elected as Executive Committee Member (South Zone) for Eye Bank Association of India(EBAI)Achievements: Vasan Eye Bank started in the year 2011 at Hyderabad & within a short span of time reached to one of the top 12 Indian Eye Banks list for the year 2013-14.Vasan Eye Bank got Award from the Eye Bank Association of India (EBAI) for "Implementation of Govt. of India (GOI) & Eye Bank Association of India (EBAI) Policies and Procedures in Vasan Eye Bank" in the year 2014 by Deputy Chief Minister & Health Minister for the state of Telangana.
