Driven by my passion for building institutions, I serve as the founding Pro Vice Chancellor of Plaksha University, a new age university reimagining interdisciplinary technology education for India and the world. By promoting interdisciplinary learning through a combination of technology, entrepreneurship and design, Plaksha aspires to produce bold, ethical leaders of tomorrow who will address our world’s most pressing global challenges through creative engineering solutions.Prior to Plaksha, I was a Partner at Positive Momentum, a boutique management consultancy firm, where I coached senior leaders to hone their functional, strategic and overall leadership competencies to help transform themselves and enterprises. Additionally, I served as a Partner with Social Venture Partners (SVP) to guide NGOs through multiple capacity building initiatives.. I have been a senior executive with 35+ years of extensive international management experience across American Express, IBM and Concentrix. I am very passionate about developing the next generation of leaders and have mentored over 200+ leaders throughout my journey. Most recently, at Concentrix, I served as SVP & GM of the Asia Pacific business where I was responsible for a ~$500M+ P&L and 200+ clients, and drove rapid growth, both organically and inorganically, across 13 countries. Additionally, I was also the Global Exec Sponsor of Network of Women, a company wide D&I initiative, focused on encouraging more women in senior leadership. Prior to Concentrix, at IBM, I rebuilt the foundation of an underperforming outsourcing F&A business and set it up for aggressive growth, doubling the revenue in <3 years and growing the team to >5K employees. Following this, I took on the responsibility to turnaround IBM’s BPO portfolio across all key Growth Markets, including Asia Pacific, LATAM and CE Europe. I was a key member of the handpicked global taskforce that helped divest IBM's customer service BPO business to Concentrix.I commenced my career at American Express, where I helped launch, build & scale the first finance shared services centre in India, establishing India as the premier hub for GCCs & eventually for outsourcing. In my last stint at American Express, I was the VP & GM of World-Wide Risk & Information Centre, where I envisioned and implemented the “next chapter” strategy to transform the organization for growth and leadership maturity.I am a Chartered Accountant, a certified Executive Coach and an alum of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and the India Leadership for Social Sector (ILSS).
