Working as Data Center In-charge for the past 2 years. The Operations, Network, Systems and the database administrators team reports to the DC-I/C. The Data Center is 24x7 operations and work in 8hrs 3 shifts. The operations people are responsible for the Mediation, Call Processing and Bill Runs. The DC is one of the most critical center for a telecom industry since it cannot afford any downtime on all the applications running.The major achievements in the Data Center done by the DC team are :· Interacting with the customer (TTSL) for day to day operations· Involvement with the customer (TTSL) in the design and implementation stage for new projects· Managing the entire Datacenter's operations team (25 people)· Installation and configuration of Sun Cluster 3.0 on the Sun Fire 15K domains for fail-over with SUN team· Configuration of Data Service over the Sun Cluster on Sun Fire 15K domains for the important databases with logical host names and IP’s for added redundancy.· Implementation of Reports server for all the production applications on a separate domain using the BCV’s. This helped in reducing the load on the production servers when the users community ran the reports.· Installation and configuration of E4500 server for EMC backup solution EDM (EMC Data Manager) with EMC team.· Setup of Disaster Recovery site in Mumbai with EMC team.
