I love working to help kids learn more and to help companies grow fast. I've been fortunate to have two fulfilling chapters with high-growth education companies, both as an investor and operator. Getting ready to embark on 3rd! 1. Helped grow Pearson Ventures (prior PALF), Pearson's internal venture capital fund, leading several investments in early stage education startups in Africa and Asia. 2. Led ISP's efforts in North America as first US employee, deploying over $200m+ in strategic acquistions, growing presence from 0 -> 8 schools, and building strong regional management team. 3. Interested in the kids' creativity space, particularly as it relates to digital tools. I've been a hobbyist creator for the past several years and believe there's huge potential in this space to foster creative expression within kids. More to come. Outside of education work, I'm also a science fiction author, publishing my first novel (The Maker's Dream) in 2021.
