My Project, sponsored by GKN aerospace, involved in applicability of HVAF thermal spraying process for repairing and refurbishing of the turbine blades. The main challenge was to test and analyze the grain structures of various combination of alloys. It aided in understanding the effect of thermal spraying on the material.
