A former broadcast journalist and radio/ television presenter and producer.He is a long-standing member of the Skillset Scotland National Board. He founded the UK's inaugural FilmCamp and Glasgow's first BarCamps, partnered with BBC and STV. He was involved in the development of Think Digital Scotland, a major B2B conference which he chaired sessions by Google, IBM, Cisco, Dell, BT, BBC & the Scottish Government. He also co-developed and co-curated Scotland's first ever Social Media Week. He sits on the Scottish Government Curriculum for Excellence Qualifications Development Team and sat on the Contemporary Arts Purchase Panel, over a seven year period, to advise Glasgow City Council and GoMA on acquisition of art for the public collection. He is chair of The Unity Foundation, a charity that helps disadvantaged children and young people through arts and cultural programmes; he has been a non-executive Director at East Park and a member of the Institute of Director's (IoD) West of Scotland Committee.
