• Overall responsibility of the legal matters, compliances, management of risks and litigation of the organisation.• Implementation of organization’s compliance policies and regulatory requirements of statutory bodies.• Giving legal advice to top management on matters of contracts, taxation, finance, data protection, employment, labour and security to minimise risks and violation of statutory provisions.• Management of Intellectual Property Rights – particularly patents and copyrights – of the various R&D programmes of the organisation• Drafting and vetting of MoUs, NDAs and other agreements with national and international organisations.• Monitoring compliances of applicable relevant laws, rules and guidelines by contractors, sub-contractors and outsource firms.• Liaison with institutions like Labour Department, Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade marks, DG Foreign Trade, Customs, Directorate of Personnel, Police, Cyber Security, CBI, NSA, PMO, Chief Vigilance Commission and other statutory bodies.• Co-ordinating with advocates and senior advocates for management of court cases in Tribunals, High Courts and Supreme Court.
