To me, life is about being true to yourself, your ideas and focusing on the essentials. I'm a world citizen with parents from Suriname and Sri Lanka that put their heart, mind and soul into teaching their children to choose what is right, not what is easy and that caring people can change the world.True, I have had great opportunities in being able to grow up and study in The Netherlands. And I was offered amazing opportunities at Menzies Aviation, a great company with great colleagues. And I had fascinating opportunities to set up my own businesses. Looking back it seems easy, but it was not that simple.I learned - by doing, by falling and by rising - that if you have faith in your own abilities and work hard, there is nothing you cannot accomplish. For over 25 years my passion has been aviation and I have been fortunate enough to have worked with many great people and many leading companies in that industry. But my work is not limited to aviation. I have a special passion for children, education and law.Currently I hold statutory directorships, supervisory and advisory roles at several organizations. And I am active in the local community. Although it keeps me pretty busy, I’ve always believed that if we’re blessed enough to have opportunities, then we’re also blessed enough to be able to create opportunities for others.
