I grew up in a small family-owned business, with my parents, my sisters, and one or two other employees. Having grown up home schooled, it wasn't unheard of for school to be canceled for the day because my dad needed help packaging orders before the shipping deadline. I'd like to think that small business is in my blood and is so much of what made me who I am today. I love helping people solve complex problems or execute projects that others think can't be done, so Human Resources and Employee Benefits felt like a natural fit. The challenges small business owners and HR professional face is new, different, and complex everyday, and it's impossible to be bored!
