The department is equipped with three 1.5T Siemens and two 3T Philips scanners.Responsibilities:Maintaining quality and teaching MRI technique and physics to students and junior radiographers. I am actively involved in research projects run by the university.Research projects: Prostate imaging, Feriscans, COUGAR-AA-302, Neonatal, Doric and vessel wall imaging.Clinical work: Scanning a wide variety of patients namely from Neurology, Musculoskeletal, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, Hepato-biliary, Vascular, Urology, Oncology, Fetal Medicine. Setting up protocols, teaching sessions for students and juniors.Management projects: A full-scale audit, involving Finance department, Human resources, Booking resources and Patient data. Improve efficiency and productivity in MRI. The audit reflected on emphasising on scanning protocols based in clinical indication. Management tool of Business Intelligence was transformed in Clinical Intelligence for implementation.Implemented 3C theory (Calibrate, Coordinate and Communicate) to the department and administration Involved in Change Management. Implementation of a management tool in service delivery of the current practices in running of MRI. It involves an internal audit which I was presented in the departmental audit meeting.Ensuring all MRI colleagues and junior staff follow safety protocols. Assessment and effective management of risks within the clinical area. Prioritizing work load and good time management skills especially in circumstance of machine breakdown and/or staff shortage.Aware of clinical governance framework and quality procedures. Strictly adhering to trust policies and protocols. Recording system log file in event of machine breakdown and/or errors, informing the manufacturing company. Show less
