Hey there, I am Aryan Sharma!I am a student researcher, writer, and leader, along with many other things!I have been passionate about both science and writing from a young age, and have tried to cultivate these two interests over many years! This year, I was a finalist at the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2024, one of the many from Team California! I have also done a lot in writing, being a finalist in the International John Locke Essay Contest, scoring a state qualifier in my paper on the invention of the nuclear reactor, along with a silver key in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.In terms of my scientific experience, I am very interested in taking concepts and knowledge from physics and the physical sciences, and applying them to where the world needs them most, in the environment. Hence, my interest and work in green technology and green energy seeks to apply our knowledge of the world to growing fields. My ISEF project, for example, concerned the engineering and optimization of artificial lights specifically for energy-efficient vertical farming. Now, I am working with high schools in India to start a company to bring this research around the world to develop low-cost, high efficiency vertical farms to prevent deforestation due to farming.
