I'm the senior most undergraduate researcher on a project that explores ways to 3D print Aluminum on Stainless Steel securely using Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing. We are currently exploring the effects of a milled grove on the strength of the interface between the metals. I was responsible for proposing and designing an experiment exploring the effects of different groove shapes. I'm also responsible for the microscopy & characterization of our samples - I take microscope images of the samples, and identify different types of porosity and intermetalics (regions where the metals have reacted) in our sample. Finally, I'm also responsible for writing the code in MATLAB and python that controls the robotic arm in our 3D printing setup.In order to actively contribute to this project, I had to extensively read literature in fields like metal additive manufacturing, metallurgy, and manufacturing. This knowledge has made me a significantly more capable engineer.

The Georgia Tech Supersonics Club is a team working to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest hobby-grade remote-controlled drone. I contribute to the design and optimization of cutting-edge propulsion systems. I write and modify code in Python and NPSS (a C-inspired simulation tool) to model complex thermodynamic processes within jet engines. I have developed a Python-based simulation for an Electronic Ducted Fan to inform the design of our preliminary test vehicle. Additionally, I conducted a comprehensive trade study of microturbojet engines, engaging directly with manufacturers to explore potential partnerships and secure the best engines for our aircraft. My efforts ensure the technical feasibility and performance of our ambitious record-breaking project.

Mini Motors is an N-class solid rocket motor design competition at Georgia Tech Experimental Rocketry.I led the design of a MATLAB simulator and optimizer for rocket motors, that maximized impulse by varying fuel grain geometry and nozzle dimensions. This simulator utilized isentropic flow principles from fluid dynamics, as well as numerical methods like fixed point iteration.We then designed and simulated the motor in SolidWorks and MATLAB. I helped design a forward closure for the motor, and simulated it in Ansys static structural. I also helped simulate the nozzle using Ansys transient thermal and static structural.

Interned at a drone startup, that has received funding from Hardcastle Petrofer and the Indian Military. Was majorly involved in design of a net recovery system, and a testing rig for carbon fiber sandwich composites. Helped with the manufacturing of a fixed wing drone, and gained experience in carbon fiber fabrication (Basic vacuum forming process).
