1.) I was born in Indonesia, learned multiple languages since I was 3, and never stopped since. I never realized that I have this passion (and perhaps a knack) in learning languages until I was 20. After I realized this passion, I consumed dictionaries like snack.2.) I am currently fluent in 2 languages (Bahasa Indonesia and English), one of which is Internationally recognized as a Business language, the other one is just my mother tongue.3.) Aside from those 2 languages, I am also fluent in 3 local Indonesian languages (Jawa Ngoko (Casual Javanese), Jawa Krama (Formal Javanese), and Sundanese). I am also able to utilize dialects and accents from many parts of my country such as Batak, Madura, Osing. 4.) I am currently in the process of learning Arabic and Spanish, will be able to use them casually in less than 12 months, professionally in less than 24 months.5.) After Arabic and Spanish, I think I will learn Japanese next.6.) I got my job in Proofreading/Editing in an unusual way. I actually wanted to apply as an English teacher, but apparently the opening that I got back then was not for a teaching job. I was afraid that Proofreading/Editing wasn't for me, so every time I sat behind my desk, I was always filled with uncertainty and dread, until I realized that this job is basically similar to a 'find the hidden object' game, just with a lot more letters.7.) I love being able to communicate with people from all around the world. This helped me to build connections and form relationships with people from the other side of the globe. One of them actually taught me how to play harmonica (shout out to my boy Luke from Ireland!), unfortunately, I am bad at music (it's not your fault, Luke). They are the ones that taught me how to be good at my job, and on how to communicate properly with people.8.) I have worked as an Ice-cream maker, a Courier, a Kitchen Staff, a Personal Trainer, and a Chess Coach.9.) I will travel the world someday, and I will put all of the languages that I have learned to the test.10.) Might also be a language teacher in the future. Might also be an author of a fantasy book. The book might be a children's fantasy book. Or it can be the next Dune, idk.
