Supervised by Dr. Ping Zou in the School of Nursing, I performed a mixed-methods study investigating the midlife experiences of South Asian immigrant women in Canada. This project has been published in Menopause and Healthcare journals, and presented at national conferences.

Through leading discussion-based and experiential-based tutorials, I promoted self-care and mental health wellbeing in the BHSc community by offering students a safe environment to explore personalized stress management techniques.

Within the Department of Medicine at McMaster University, I worked in the divisions of Rheumatology, and Pediatrics to conduct various research studies. The first study investigated factors associated with insufficient Vitamin D in patients with osteoporosis; the second study focused on key factors affecting exercise habits in patients with systemic lupus erythematous (SLE); and the third study examined the transition from pediatric rheumatology to adult rheumatology for children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis and SLE. The third study has been published in the Journal of Transition Medicine and ACR Open Rheumatology, and all study abstracts can be found in the Arthritis & Rheumatology journal. I developed an online database through REDCap and performed data analysis and visualization in SPSS.

Fostered a positive and inclusive community within a residence building of 500+ diverse students. Recognized as one of the top 10 distinguished community advisors across all 12 residence buildings for promoting healthy behaviours and encouraging personal growth among students.
