The research focus was primarily on "Stable Preparation techniques and characterization of Multi-walled Carbon nanotubes based nanofluids" aiming to improving the dispersibility of MWCNTs in the base fluid through different surface modification processes. As an extension, several hybrid Nanocoolants and Nanolubricants were developed not just from MWCNTs, but also with many other nanomaterials and their Tribological, Rheological, Heat transfer properties were tested for possible implementation… Show more The research focus was primarily on "Stable Preparation techniques and characterization of Multi-walled Carbon nanotubes based nanofluids" aiming to improving the dispersibility of MWCNTs in the base fluid through different surface modification processes. As an extension, several hybrid Nanocoolants and Nanolubricants were developed not just from MWCNTs, but also with many other nanomaterials and their Tribological, Rheological, Heat transfer properties were tested for possible implementation in Internal Combustion engines and Metal Cutting applications. The surprisingly massive anti-wear and frictional properties of the hybrid nanolubricants and related nano-tribo film mechanisms, Curbing out the hydrophobicity of MWCNTs for dispersion in organic solvents were all some of the milestones of my research which were well recognized at the International Conferences and fetched me awards for Best Presentation. Parts of the projects were continuously presented in different conferences across India and were also published in Proceedings, Journals. Appreciating the continued efforts, the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), granted a funding for my Bachelor’s Thesis which focused on Implementation of Nanolubricants in Refrigeration technologies with the aim of Energy conservation and Green Environment.
