Soundrop aims at helping the music industry with the marketing challenges of the streaming age. Our first product was the Soundrop Spotify app, providing users with a social listening experience within Spotify, but also on mobile. The second product we launched is show.co, a SaaS for creating, managing and analysing the results of digital music marketing campaigns.• Hired all the non-founding engineering team members.• Managed the development and delivery of all the products. Including 4 Spotify apps (HTML5 and JavaScript), 2 mobile apps and numerous web apps.• Worked together with product management on the strategy, roadmap and feature definition of most aspects of our services.• Architected a highly scalable real-time platform using Erlang/OTP and a custom WebSocket protocol. This platform allowed us to host massive shared listening parties with some of the largest artists.• Built multiple internal JavaScript tools and frameworks for the development of real-time applications.

Founded a software development company with ex-colleagues where we initially pursued the health sector, by trying to provide a field communication solution for primary healthcare, but failed to gather enough trust and interest. We then refocused towards providing software development services. I worked on various consulting projects including the scaling of XMPP servers, and the development of a high performance tick database for financial data points using C and Erlang/OTP.

Joined Cisco after the acquisition of TANDBERG, worked in the Telepresence eXchange Business Unit (TXBU) on a large scale cloud based directory for Telepresence systems using Erlang/OTP and Riak.

I was hired to continue the work on multi-party conferencing, where I contributed to the development of backward compatibility gateways that allowed legacy clients to interoperate with the non-MCU based clients.I then initiated and co-owned a new project for the development of an enterprise social network integrating video conferencing.This new project aimed at easing the use of video conferencing equipment by building a social networking solution that was fully integrated with it.• Designed, planned and contributed to the development of the social networking service.• Integrated hardware platforms phone-books with the social network.• Designed and developed a system allowing pairing of hardware video conferencing systems with a mobile phone using QR codes.

I joined a research team, as part of my final year project, working on optimizing the network usage in the case of distributed multi-party conferencing.• Built a multi-party conferencing client that does not require an MCU using.• Implemented GPU based HD video compositing and color-space conversion.• Built a multi-party conferencing server.

I was hired in a temporary position onto the video conferencing software client (TANDBERG Movi) team to evaluate the use of GStreamer and other open source technologies for building Movi 2.• Worked on Cross-compiling windows software on a GNU/Linux system using autotools and MinGW.• Implemented various GStreamer elements for Windows.• Built a minimal SIP video conferencing software client using SofiaSIP and GStreamer.

I was hired to help with the scheduling of non-critical airplane maintenance tasks. Developed a software to keep track of aircraft engines lifetimes.
