Since joining Ringway Jacobs and has been involved at Graduate level in a number of projects:Section 106 Scheme:Having designed a number of Auto CAD designs for Transport for Buckinghamshire (Tfb) schemes, I have developed a deep appreciation of the problems that can/will be faced in such an endeavour. For (Tfb) network improvement projects I applied by creativity and thinking outside the box to overcome multiple issues such as restricted space, resurfacing road works, drainage improvements, newly housing development Traffic Regulation Orders . The initial design stage of the process was initiated with a site walk to identify any possible issues and to visualise possible solutions before retreating to the office to plan and draw the designs and drawings using AutoCAD.Highways Design:Implementation of designing a new pedestrian crossing Island, (Tfb) commissioned Ringway Jacobs to carry out a statuary consultation to build a designated Island for pedestrians to cross a busy dual carriageway. Drainage Improvement works:Transport for Buckinghamshire covered a wide range of drainage improvements schemes, Having design a wide range of drainage design in area's which incurred flooding would be main priority design a solution to drain water into designated Soakaways and Gullies. A site visit to the drainage location would determine all the necessary outcomes to offer a efficient solution to unblock or replace the existing drainage's.Cost Estimating:I have also been working on the Speed Limit reduction schemes. Calculating the cost of various solutions and options for the design stages and costs to carry out speed limit assessments.
