Responsibilities included:(Note: NIC Device C-Model (DCM) is a Linux Kernel-based implementation of Proof-of-Concept (POC) in C for all the features that are to be offloaded in Smart NIC device. DCM aids Hardware team in designing RTL.)* Optimized network performance by implementing Accelerated Receive Flow Steering (aRFS) in DCM and device driver, reducing latency and ensuring efficient packet delivery to target applications.* Enhanced network security and offloaded computational tasks from the kernel by implementing Transport Layer protocols (TCP, UDP, SCTP) checksum offloads in DCM.* Developed and automated comprehensive testing infrastructure for DCM using Jenkins, ensuring reliable and efficient test case execution.* Designed and implemented an xfrm intercept module utilizing kprobes to capture IPSec parameters from the kernel.* Contributed to the development of RDMA implementation as part of a collaborative team effort.* Implemented and integrated IKEv1 and IKEv2 cryptographic protocols utilizing strongSwan software, ensuring secure key exchange and authentication.
