Justified the improvement in tire lateral force through slip angle data analysis from the FSAE Tire TestingConsortium. Performed polar plot analysis for various airfoil parameters to determine the optimal wing profiles for the team at average FSAE endurance cornering speeds. Used first principles kinematics to build a pitch angle calculator to determine lowest possible mounting position for the front wing without scraping the ground. Currently performing 3D CFD simulations in Ansys Fluent to iterate through wing design options to meet L/D and Cl design targets.

Manufacturing CFRP test panels through the vacuum infusion process and performing 3-point bend tests and perimeter shear tests on them to measure energy absorption and stiffnesses of various layup schedules. Optimizing the mass and torsional stiffness of the monocoque.

Expanding my composites manufacturing knowledge through hands-on carbon fiber vacuum infusions and the preparation behind it. Growing my knowledge of CAD and CFD analysis using SOLIDWORKS and Ansys CFX to figure out the optimal ride height of the 2022-2023 chassis as well as how to better model the undertray for increased downforce. Used 3D printing and low voltage electronics knowledge to assist in troubleshooting and debugging of theMosaic Array, a new, automated 3D printing system. Repaired and maintained an array of Prusa MK3s’ before the 2023-2024 school year, ensuring all printers were operational for MECHENG 2C04 and faculty research projects.
