My name is Asad Abdali, I am a graduate from Ryerson's Ted Roger's School of Management in the Business management program. At Ryerson I decided to major in real estate management and attain minors in financial management and computer science as these three sectors are my passion. I am a driven student and I continue to strive for a strong GPA, especially in the latter years of my bachelor degree because I intend on acquiring a masters at a later point in my career. While I am not at school I spend my time growing my clothing brand, 1-of-1 Thrifts. It is essentially a consignment and thrifting business that I started around the end of March in 2019. Having noticed the consequences of fast fashion, I aimed to establish a business that could mitigate its damages while also taking steps to improve the environment, such as our plant a tree initiative. Growing my own brand has given me the opportunity to explore all facets of conducting business operations such as inventory management, buying and selling products, financial management, marketing strategies, website creation and implementation, customer relations, and most importantly time management. I hope to continue to grow my brand while I gain more knowledge from my professional career, as I have come to learn that applying the knowledge from school and professional work experiences in conjunction and then applying that to my own business proves to be extremely beneficial.
