Acquisition & Deployment> Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications,software, and operating systems.> Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.> Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendationsand to supportpurchasing efforts.> Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services Operational Management> Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.> Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmer and development teams.> Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.> Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.> Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications.> Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.> Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.> Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.> Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.> Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.

Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks Participate in the design of information and operational support systems Provide 2nd and 3rd level support Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

>Directly supervise desktop support technicians and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's culture and procedures. >Assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training desktop support employees. >Create long-term strategies for growth and maintenance of desktop support and makes budgetary recommendations to upper management. >Train Service Desk staff on operational procedures and troubleshooting techniques and how to answer and resolve incoming calls. >Assist team in resolution of issues submitted to the Service Desk. >Supervise technical support staff’s daily activities which would include providing quality technical software/hardware phone and desktop support with the highest degree of customer service, technical expertise and timeliness to Emergent staff.>Define and establish help desk and technical support staff schedules, set priorities, provide support/direction and deal with administrative issues as needed.>Develop, implement, and manage operational standards and escalation procedures to ensure service levels are maintained at a consistent level.>Monitor desktop support operations and escalate help-tickets to ensure problems are handled as expeditiously as possible>Oversee desktop support problems and resolutions to determine trouble trends or problem support areas and to ensure support procedures are being followed.>Provide management reports on Service Desk operations and issues regarding the support of Information Resources.>Assist VP of IT Operations in development of standard operating procedures.>Configuration IP Phones and Troubleshooting. >Prepare Network Audits.>I.T Policies & Procedures – Authoring and Implementation
