I was hired to manage a high profile, multi-year EMV technology migration program for Elan Financial Services, a division of U.S. Bank, for a B2B portfolio of 1.500+ financial services customers. During the planning phase of the program, I contributed to the strategic decision making as EMV expert and led cross-functional implementation project teams to collaborate across the enterprise. In addition, I created an internal communication program to build EMV awareness and cohesion across the business units. I also served as liaison with the US EMV Forum to monitor market trends and contributed to the development of US market EMV guidelines and standards.Results:  Planning phase completion. Funding approval preparation completion.

Following a successful tenure with the Direct Banking division, I was promoted to manage the retail banking cards business and product portfolio for 1M customers. Liaised with executive leadership to formulate strategies and led execution through cross-functional team management. Consistently met business goals by strengthening customer loyalty through delivery of customer needs-driven product solutions and loyalty programs. After introducing the first "Chip & PIN" debit card in the Greek market, I successfully led the migration of 1.3M cards and 30K merchant POS to EMV (chip) technology.Results:  48% credit cards market share increase in two years. 32% debit cards market share increase in two years. 78% fraud decrease in two years. 11% average increase in sales from direct marketing activities.

Europe

I transitioned to the banking industry and joined Emporiki Bank, the Greek subsidiary of Credit Agricole Group, one of the top 10 largest financial institutions worldwide. I was responsible for the development, marketing and distribution of banking services through direct channels, including e-banking, phone banking and mobile banking. Furthermore, I developed and launched the bank's first B2B and B2C electronic payment services. Upon launching of services, I led the design and execution of marketing campaigns to achieve start up customer penetration to the new services. Results:  Launched all three direct banking services in less than two years.  Emporiki e-banking service ranked third in the market by PC Magazine. Launched first secure online card payments and e-commerce in the Greek market.  Direct channel customer penetration: 5% in year one and 14% by year four.

Managed three teams of 10 programmers and analysts to provide business solutions and technical support to Johnson & Johnson sales force and corporate management. Liaised with FDA and WHO authorities to analyze regulatory requirements and then with Johnson & Johnson to define in-line and compliant business requirements.
