Partner, Consumer & Retail Advisory LeadKpmg Sep 2016 - Aug 2018Rio De Janeiro, São PauloAside from heading the Strategy Practice, led the pan-Advisory business development efforts to in the Consumer & Retail spaces, including Consumer Goods, Food & Drinks and Retail. Facilitated KPMG's strategic planning process and supported the C&R head and other functional leaders (Audit & Tax) to formulate, design and implement their plans to expand the business and further penetrate existing client base with bundling offers and cross-fertilization initiatives. One of my main clients included Britvic, a British soft drink player that successfully entered Brazil after two years evaluating the Brazilian market and several strategic options available. Client decided for the acquisition of Brazil's number-one supplier of dilutable concentrated drinks and the number-two supplier of ready-to-drink nectar drinks opening the doors for accessing to the sixth-largest soft drinks market and largest “concentrates” market in the world. I decided to be lead partner of this account since their first informal visit to Brazil in 2012 and helped them in every step of their inorganic growth strategy until my last day at the Firm. I was lucky to make this account the largest one by fees in the whole Deal Advisory division of KPMG Brazil. Finally, I was part of a global panel of expert practitioners in Consumer & Retail for the Global Deal Advisory practice of KPMG international network.

Partner, Founder And Head Of Global Strategy GroupKpmg Sep 2008 - Aug 2018Rio De Janeiro, São Paulo, BrazilFounding Partner and Former Head of KPMG's Global Strategy Group in Brazil (and Latin America), I left my executive position as Partner in Charge of KPMG’s strategy business in Brazil after 16 years of enjoyable progressively responsible experience in the Firm’s financial advisory and consulting areas, assuming different leadership roles, including financial (P&L), commercial and operations management. At KPMG alone, I led over 300 projects for governments, nonprofits, local and world's leading corporations and private equity investment funds, accumulating an unique experience in a number of sectors, clients and types of work. With more than 20 years in Strategy, M&A and Business Development spaces, I have accumulated experience in a number of sectors and types of work, particularly around strategy formulation and problem solving, including the development of growth platforms, feasibility analysis, strategic planning, business model innovation, transformation exercises, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions. Finally, I was lucky enough to be involved in providing strategic support and direction for the Firm’s business in Brazil and across the Latin American region, working with senior partners and boards, including:• Vision 2020 and 5-Year Strategic Plan for KPMG South America Region • Strategy Development for KPMG in Colombia • Scenario Planning and Strategy Development for assessing the potential for doing business in Cuba in a post-embargo environment • Business case evaluation for an Outsourcing business for KPMG in Brazil• Developing a multidisciplinary High Growth Markets (HGM) and Investment Corridors initiative in Brazil with dedicated teams working across functional areas, including, internationalization, market entry and expansion assistance, buy and sell-side transaction advice, tax, legal and regulatory work• Design and Implementation of a central Research, Intelligence & Analysis unit to serve KPMG’s Deal Advisory practice in Brazil -
Partner, High Growth Markets & Investment CorridorsKpmg Oct 2006 - Aug 2018BrazilBack in 2006, four years before the famous cover of The Economist showing a picture of the statue of Christ the Redeemer ascending like a rocket from Rio de Janeiro's capital, my team and I anticipated that Brazil would be the golden kid at the international markets and that was the opportunity to create and formalize a specialized team structure within the Firm to deal with newcomers entering Brazil, established companies already in-country expanding their presence and investors looking for good assets to buy. At the Strategy Group, we developed a proprietary Market Entry methodology and started building a got-to-market strategy and competent team with the right tools and methods to deliver first class end-to-end Market Entry Assistance and managing the process from idea generation to full implementation. Years later, our original Market Entry initiative gained the status of a major growth driver for the whole Firm and started amalgamating other areas of KPMG in Brazil, particularly International Tax & Legal, Deal Advisory and People & Change practices forming a wider multidisciplinary team that positioned KPMG to play in a coordinated one-stop-shop fashion The Brazil Market Entry team was a model for similar initiatives in China, South Africa, Mexico, Eastern Europe and other high growth economies and/or emerging markets. We got connected with KPMG International's "High Growth Markets & Investment Corridors" practice strengthening our reach and participating in cross-fertilization initiatives -

Having developed a deep understanding of KPMG service offerings, I often combined them into multi-disciplinary solutions – for both private and public sectors, multilaterals, NGOs and not-for-profitHired with a mission to support KPMG's leadership to consolidate the Financial Advisory Services (FAS) practice in Rio de Janeiro. In six years, we transformed a team of approximately five professionals delivering basically Corporate Finance and Due Diligence into a comprehensive unit with more than 25 professionals covering the whole deal cycle, including Strategy, Corporate Finance, Due Diligence, Structured Finance and Valuation work.My KPMG story started in 2002 in the position of Associate Director (Gerente Sênior).
