Assist attorneys with a wide range of immigration cases including family-based petitions, DACA Applications, and Provisional Waivers.

During the internship I helped to resolve multiple cases by assisting with the research, writing correspondence to the governmental institutions on behalf of the constituents, responding to constituents’ inquiries and phone calls, drafting a wide range of congratulatory letters, and recording constituents’ statements on policy issues. I also had an honor to accompany Congresswoman Schakowsky at several events, such as a Donors Forum Grant Workshop for nonprofit organizations, the Niles Township Food Pantry Holiday Food Distribution, Army Medal Presentation to a WWII Veteran, Milton Kaplan, and 2d Annual MLK Community Celebration at Jesse White Community Center and Field House. I acquired invaluable experience interacting with the public and learned about many services the Congresswoman provides to the community.
