About Andres Sandoval-Hernandez
I currently am a Professor of Policy and Educational Assessment and International Study Director of the International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS) at the University of Bath. I earned a PhD in Education from the University of Bath, a Master's degree in Educational Research from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) and a BA in Public Accounting from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Before joining the University of Bath, I worked as Head of the Research and Analysis Unit at IEA, where I coordinated and participated in research projects, and training activities related to comparative analyses of educational systems using large-scale assessment data (e.g. PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS). Over the last few years, I have also collaborated with or consulted for the ministries of education of several countries, for the World Bank, the OECD, UNESCO, UNICEF, UIS and other international organizations.
