Vadis was a new market research company in Malmoe focusing on analysis and consulting concerninbg product development and communication. We were two consultants in the company. As a consultant I analyzed client needs, designed research and analyzed end results.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, I was responsible for all recruitment campaigns, physical as well as digital for both titles Sydsvenska Dagbladet and Helsingborgs Dagblad. This meant recruiting new or former subscribers and included responsibility for external telemarketing activities, print campaigns through various marketing channels and digital marketing, primarily on Facebook and via AdWords. The role was also part of the overall consumer marketing steering committee of the company.

During the first two years I reported to the CEO of the company, later to Business Intelligence Manager. My commission in a role completely new to the organization was to represent the voice of the customer in discussions concerning the brand, communication and the organization as a whole. I was responsible for problem definition, purchase and interpretation concerning all market research. In my role I was also responsible for the department handling the customer files, selections, analysis, statistics, prognoses and follow-up. In this position I was responsible for a staff of six. Facing an extensive reorganization in 2014 it was decided that this new position was to be cut and I left the company at the end of the year.

Initially I was appointed as project leader on a temporary basis, reporting to the CEO. A new website was to be designed and launched and in connection with that the content was to be developed and exposed in different ways. My role was to be responsible for the service becoming more useful and available to the school users and to develop the communication with these users in order to increase their usage and benefit of the service. In the autumn 2008 I was offered the position as Marketing Manager for the Internet service for schools/libraries, which among other things involved communication and overall responsibility for external co-operations and product development. The team consisted of three people. One of the challenges was to reach the users, mainly teachers, who in many cases did not know what the service contained or even that they had access, since the contract was often signed by purchasers at the local council.

The position was a staff function in the marketing department where I reported to the Marketing Manager. My responsibilities included problem analysis, purchase and implementation of market research and statistics for all brands. The organization was very research oriented and the main focus was concept and product development. I was also advisory to the Orkla group´s head of research purchase and methodology and during my time in the company we went through a major purchasing process for continuous follow-up of the brands of the major Swedish companies; Procordia, OLW, Abba and Göteborgs Kex.

Among the clients were advertising agencies, producers of fast moving consumer goods and publishers. As consultants we often worked together in the analysis phase since we had very different experience and background. During my last year I was team leader/sales executive for the Malmö office with a special responsibility for information and communication between the offices. The position included responsibility for a staff of eight.
