◆ Aditya Singh Chauhan is an Associate at Khaitan & Co, Mumbai. Aditya is also a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Advanced Research and Training in Arbitration Law established under the aegis of National Law University, Jodhpur (NLU-J). Briefly, his experience at the firm concerning various sectors includes the following:✦ Construction Sector: He is a part of the firm’s specialist team for construction and engineering contracts for projects across industries and all related arbitration matters and commercial litigation before the Indian courts. The team has represented/advised clients including PSUs, private owners/employers, contractors, consultants, architects, vendors, etc. in various construction matters. ✦ Hospitality Sector: He has negotiated hotel contracts for several hotels under the world's top hospitality brands—both on behalf of the owner and the operator—and provided legal services for hotels under brands such as the Waldorf Astoria and Hilton (the Hilton Group), the Oberoi and Trident (Oberoi Group), and the SelecQtions and Gateway (IHCL/Taj Group).✦ Pharma Sector: He has acted for and advised clients on disputes relating to the development and manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), supply of pharmaceutical products and ingredients, non-payment of commission in distributor/agency contracts, etc., including in arbitration and court matters with foreign law elements.► Before joining the firm, Aditya was an Associate at AZB & Partners, Mumbai (Dispute Resolution Team). At AZB, he represented clients in matters including (i) various corporate litigations including shareholder disputes and oppression and mismanagement disputes, (ii) various arbitration-related matters (primarily corporate disputes) including annulment and foreign award enforcement, and (iii) other litigation matters, and appeared inter alia before the NCLT and NCLAT, the Delhi High Court, the Bombay High Court, the Madras High Court, and the Supreme Court of India. Additionally, he advised clients from foreign countries on the impact of sanctions in arbitration-related matters, enforcement of foreign awards in India, enforcement and execution of judgments of foreign courts in India, etc.► Aditya also serves as an Ambassador & Co-Chair (Publications Committee) at Arbitrator Intelligence.
