Engineering and design of eddy current and composite testing sensors for use with Nortec and BondMaster brand nondestructive testing instruments. This also included the operation of many competitors testing equipment when required to manufacture compatible sensors. The sensors were designed to solve many different testing applications and problems. Responsibilities included the training and supervision of production and assembly personnel daily to complete common and specialized products.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:-Troubleshooting and analysis of coil circuits using Ohm’s Law.- Calculate and measure voltage, current, resistance and power in DC circuits using digital and analog meters- Design, testing using Oscilloscope and voltmeter to measure AC signal, amplitude and phase angle to determine frequency responses for coil circuits. Read and interpret manufacturer data sheets to verify products.- Design /Build/Evaluate specialized sensors of high quality for use in the testing of customer hardware and to meet customer requirements, including generation of detailed Work Packages.- Work with hand tools, machine shop equipment and electronic test equipment and do precise processing on complex sensor products.- Provide technical guidance and training to sensor technicians and assemblers during the assembly process per procedures.- Maintenance of work packages and engineering drawings in accordance with ISO9001 requirements.- Provide backup support for Sensor Design Engineer and Production Manager during their absences.- Understanding of multiple NDT test methods/procedures, working knowledge of all electronic equipment used the manufacture of respective sensor products, and use of Olympus NDT and RVI products.
