I'm passionate about Navigation. With a degree in bioengineering from University of Maryland, I know how to solve problems with unique out-of-the-box solutions. I also have an MS in Environmental Management and a MBA. I have always been attracted to high adrenaline activities (snowboarding, scuba diving, rock climbing), so I will thrive in an exciting and fulfilling work environment. I've always had a drive to move things and getting them to move better and faster. During college I not only drove buses but I planned the routes for three major universities in the D.C. Metropolitan area. I have a commercial driver license, as well as a motorcycle license. Serves as the subject matter expert and lead technical engineer on the Dredging Information System (DIS) on behalf of IWR, coordinates with HQUSACE, the field, and industry on data collection, processing, and reporting of dredging data at USACE projects. Provides project management and support to senior program managers and technical leads for navigation and dredging lead for data integration, information systems management, and related Civil Works program application. Led the design, development, and implementation of enhancements to NDC’s Dredging Information System (DIS) by incorporating new geographic information system (GIS) capabilities and an innovative data entry system that walks users through data entry for more accurate, timely and detailed information. DIS is the system of record supporting USACE’s National Dredging program. DIS collects dredging data and information on USACE projects which move over 250 million cubic yards of dredged material every year, at an approximate cost of $2 billion per year. Coordinated with stakeholders to identify the application requirements of an all-encompassing dredging system. Developed the project scope and utilized the Agile Process, an innovative approach, to deliver a new cost-efficient system that improved data entry, accuracy, and data analytics. Manage and provide technical support for ongoing improvements and the operations and maintenance of DIS to deliver an application that is evolving to meet the changing needs of our stakeholders.

Provides expert support as an instructor of USACE Dredging Fundamentals PROSPECT training course. This training is aimed at USACE field staff involved in dredging projects activities with a scope that spans from basic dredging concepts to advance hydrology and hydraulic modeling concepts as part of USACE’s National Dredging Training Program.
