Guiding and advising on the development of IPFS, both within and outside of Protocol Labs. While still maintaining core Go IPFS libraries and implementations like kubo and boxo and advising technical teams within Protocol Labs, more of my focus is on the IPFS project as a whole.This includes advisory and technical work towards enabling other implementations, as well as making the tough calls on which items our talented, if small, team can work on to improve the state of the IPFS ecosystem.

Stewarding the technical development of IPFS within Protocol Labs. Most of my development work surrounds the Go-based IPFS libraries and applications such as kubo (formerly go-ipfs) and their dependencies. Since the Go libraries power the most well-used implementations of IPFS this effectively means working with other groups (both internal and external) that leverage IPFS on evolution of the protocols and tooling no matter which language they're writing in.

Designing and implementing a cryptographic system to allow users the ability to securely collaborate on documents stored in the cloud in real-time

Researched and developed prototypes to allow the government to make use of cryptographic security to store and share data in the cloud in a way similar to systems like Wuala or Tresorium. Additionally, researched the weakness of passwords as they specifically apply to cryptographic systems.

Developed and implemented a simulator for creating 3D terrain models from multi-angular satellite data.

Managed a group of programmers in producing a Flash point-and-click adventure game with procedurally generated puzzles. Coordinated the integration of audio and visual assets, as well as level layouts, into the software base as well as developing a set of tools to make this integration easy for non-programmers.

Taught children from ages 8 to 16 about video game design and creation, ensuring that all of the children left with their own game. Counselor for a group of 11-13 years old children.

Assembled modular robots (linear robots composed of small rotatable parts that as a whole can take virtually any shape). Engineered communication protocols and control methods for the robots.

Implemented glove and Webcam based hand tracking system in Unity3D. Bridged Java and C# code bases. Developed Unity3D editor tools and components that interface with the RealMatter Physics Engine.

Developed the backend and frontend of a database for managing project and governmental requirements.

Awarded Louis Craig Memorial Scholarship (full merit scholarship) to participate in a research study program for 72 high school graduates selected from throughout the world. Investigated the ability to control devices using EEG (electroencephalography). Analyzed EEG data and signals using MATLAB.
