With over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector focused on parent education, children and youth. I received my Master’s degree in Human Services (MHS) from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. I am also certified in parent & family education and Behavioral Health systems via the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. My career path has been consistent, working with non-profits geared toward families, children and youth by educating, empowering and enriching the lives of others. My tenure began in social services with Philadelphia Society for Services to Children (PSSC), where I was the Family Advocate and Parent Educator. The opportunity to facilitate and work with teenage parents and their children is an experience that I cherish to this day. Thereafter, I began work with Caring People Alliance (CPA) as a Case Manager in Pregnant Parenting Youth program called the Teen Parent Education and Employment Program (TPEEP); working with at risk teen mothers who were attending to obtain their high school equivalency (GED). Currently, I contribute my talents and drive as the Assistant Director OF Eligibility, Resource and Referral for The Early Learning Resource Center Philadelphia County Region 18 (ELRC-18) formerly Child Care Information Services (CCIS). Providing childcare subsidy and quality childcare resources to parents and children. My time is focused on overseeing the eligibility departments for three (3) sites, authorizing funds and developing working partnerships with community agencies. In addition to implementing and developing training plans and procedures for staff by way of state policy, regulations and direct service capacities. Assisting and navigating parents through subsidized childcare so that the children can function in a non-toxic and progressive environment while parents' work or attend training. My entire professional career has been dedicated to helping families in an effort to build a better community.
