Saudi National Aseel Al Hamad is an accomplished motorsport advocate and racing enthusiast whose remarkable career has seen her assume a diversity of roles including Saudi Arabia’s first female F1 driver, and the first female Board Member at the Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation. She is also a member & the Saudi Arabia Representative at the FIA Women in Motorsports Commission. A professional interior designer engineer, Founder and Design Director of IDEGREE DESIGN; an interior design studio, based in Riyadh. In 2023, Aseel started a new role as a Co-Founder of STEER Tourism Company, an initiative specialized in supercar tours around the Kingdom. She was also recently appointed as a Judge at the Women's World Car of the Year Award. Aseel regularly speaks and mentors the Saudi workforce and is often featured in the media as a figurehead for female empowerment, and an inspirational representative of the Saudi 2030 Vision for leadership and positive change. Aseel graduated from Prince Sultan University in 2009 with a degree in interior design engineering, and went on to found her own interior design firm and gaining membership to the Saudi Council of Engineers. IDEGREE DESIGN is a one-stop integrated interior design agency based in Riyadh, dedicated to creating exceptional interiors. It was awarded with a couple of international design awards, including The Arab Property Award as a five-star winner for Bagatelle Jeddah, awarded by The International Property Awards. Aseel’s relentless passion towards her self-development led her to complete her Master’s degree in MBA (Masters in Business Administration) from Alfaisal university in 2019, as well as a PMP (Project Management Profession) liscence in 2020. As well as an accomplished design entrepreneur, Aseel is a motorsports advocate, having taught herself to drive in Dubai and being the first Saudi Arabian women to import and own a Ferrari since 2012, years before women were allowed to drive in KSA. She has participated in many amateur tournaments with her talent and commitment to her path leading her to becoming a member and Saudi Arabia representative at the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission. In December 2017 she was appointed as a board member of the Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) as the first women board member. The following year, in June 2018, she participated in a milestone moment in regional history, completing a victory lap at Paul Ricard in Le Casetellet in France, at the guest of Renault, to mark the lifting of the Saudi female driving ban.
