I am currently a Spanish teacher at St. Charles North High School, a teacher-leader for technology, and an active curriculum developer. With a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, I developed and implemented our former Latin curriculum. I have also been a member of Curriculum Development Teams for Spanish I and Spanish II. With a Master's in Instructional Technology, I am a teacher-leader for technology in the district with roles like World Language Department Technology Leader at North and a member of the district's Schoology Squad, through which I aid in supporting teachers and facilitating professional development. My current goals are: to be a 21st-century World Language teacher who helps to open the world to my students. Also, to be a teacher-leader for technology who trains and supports staff in using it to meet instructional goals. I believe that as we teachers work to facilitate the learning of our students, technology is a powerful tool, and I seek to use it in my classroom and to help others find the ways that it can support student learning in theirs.
