Joined Internal Tools team as the very first remote Software Engineer at Cruise. Transitioned to the Product Engineering department when it was formed.Was working on various internal tools, services, and web interfaces to support the development of the AV software and Cruise's products.Other responsibilities and achievements include:- Implemented a plugin-based system for the internal data pipeline from AV to the cloud.- Took over ownership of multiple internal web interfaces - an application to visualize the data recorded on the road by AVs, - an application that lets safety drivers evaluate the performance of various AV maneuvers on the road.- Implemented the first iteration of a centralized backend system responsible for communication with the autonomous fleet.- Participated in development of the AV dispatching system end-to-end - from web interface in the browser, through a set of backend micro-services, to a module on the AV.- Implemented the first version of the fleet management web interface, displaying among other things the real-time location and status of every Cruise vehicle.- Took part in the development of a vehicle-to-vehicle data-sharing system to help with spreading information about the areas to avoid.Tech stack: Javascript, React, SCSS, node.js, Python, Postgres, NATS, Docker, Rancher, AWS.
